Sonar Flare - a powerful localized eruption of sonic radiation, has been forecasted for Aug 20th 2022.

Flares will come in 7 acts including:

  • an iridescent modular set comprised of granularized field recordings by nworb

  • analog resonant dreamscapes synthesized by minalt

  • a silky sample-based piece by Johann Diedrick and his custom sampler -- the Harvester

  • a glitched out live-coded set by Sandpills

  • an improvisational synth band jam session that will bend all genres by Sound-Garden*(ITP)

  • an experimental dialogue of synths and FM radio receiver by Laenz

  • a synth duo, Custom Scenario, celebrating their latest release

* ITP Sound-Garden members: Cy Kim, David Stein, Elias Jarzombek, Eamon Goodman, Gabe Warshaw

Electromagnetic activity in the visual spectrum will also be present in the night accompanying each sonic flare. Visuals will be presented by:
