minuere
Minuere, ‘to diminish’ in latin , is inspired by the gradual state of change that occurs in various natural phenomena.
Each look captures the entire process of either: erosion that span over millennia, shaping mountains and valleys, decay of organic matter, dispersion of matter in natural systems that initiate the next life cycle. These natural processes occur through time periods that exceed the average human lifespan or the attention span of humans in a modern fast-paced society. We often notice glimpses of the process but are never able to witness the entirety as they are either too vast or too minuscule for us to perceive.

The erosion looks are comprised of densely packed geometric modules that transition from large to small particulates. The pieces are made by vacuum-forming PETG plastic sheets over a wooden mold, which are then sewn together then spray painted in a gradient effect.
The decay looks are comprised of organic modules that transition from a dense lattice to a sparse web. These pieces are also made by vacuum-forming plastic over a clay mold, which are then sewn together and spray painted.
The dispersion looks are composed from strips of clear and translucent plastic sheets as well as bottle tops that are threaded together to create a snaking boa.
